I stopped by Lighthouse this late afternoon.  Randy Domina [and Lynn James, Don Morgan, Sol Satin, Paul Roberts, Dori Sosensky, Lynn James, Joyce and Norbert Grohoski and other prior visitors] had well over 300 hawks [8 Bald Eagles with the Coops, Sharpies, Osprey, Merlins, Peregrines, Buteos] for the day and were, at 4 pm, tallying Kestrels at a 50+ per-hour pace.
So here's my algebraic prediction for tomorrow:
2nd day of a front after days of blocking weather (Nicole slamming into that lingering low) = (350) + same excellent coverage hours and set of eyes, as today = (100) + Easterly component of a north wind = (- 150) + much awaited cloud cover (50) + nightly rain that might show up a few minutes early (-50) = someone will bring some chocolate chip cookies in accordance with NE Hawkwatch tradition (50) = 350 hawks
