from Julian Hough and Sunrise Walk
10/2- Lighthouse Point 8-10am
Huge numbers of chickadees moving as well as numerous high-flying White-breasted
Nuthatch. Good numbers of birds inc:
White-crowned Sparrow 2
Purple Finch
Bobolink
Eastern Wood Pewee
Scarlet Tanager
Rose-breasted Grosbeak (h)
Common Yellowthroat
Yellow-rumped Warbler
Blackpoll Warbler (h)
Magnolia Warbler 2
Black-throated Blue 2+
Black and White 2
American Redstart 2+
Swainson's Thrush
Red-eyed Vireo
Blue-headed Vireo
Northern Parula
Red-breasted Nuthatch
Rufous-sided Towhee
Swamp Sparrow
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker
Northern Harrier
Peregrine
Sharp-shinned
Cooper's Hawk

10/2- Stratford Point 4:30-5:45 pm
The WHITE-TAILED KITE performing spectacularly as usual, catching and eating
several voles before climbing into the stratosphere at 5:45pm and drifting off
towards Milford point.

A crippling WOOD THRUSH skulking in bushes around the building was rather out of
place and a nice flock of 30 Black-crowned Night Herons migrating across Long
Island sound.
