It's not often you see kettles of Broad-wings over New Haven Harbor.  In addition to 312 BWs, we had 405 Sharpies, 161 Coops, 16 Bald Eagles, and others for a total of 1083.
Remarkable numbers of Coops and lingering 10-20 BW kettles. Excellent views of raptors. One of the best hawk watching days. NE winds continually pushed accipiters and buteos across the Park. One of the most challenging hawk-counting days.

Non-raptor Observations:  Highlights included a distant male YELLOW-HEADED BLACKBIRD seen at 0635 with 15 RWBL and small flocks of CEDW, for about 1 minute. Seen from below, no wing-on (no indication of white upper wing coverts, or yellow in undertail coverts). Black, significantly larger than RWBLs with mustard-yellow hood projecting towards belly. Two DICKCISSEL, 1 RUSTY BLACKBIRD.
Others, most of these prior to 0800, included: 27 Scoter sp, 2 GB Heron, 2 GR Eret 10 Killdeer, 5 Laughing Gull, 1 Common Nighthawk, 3 Chimney Swift, 1 Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, 410 Blue Jay,  500 Tree Swallow, 1 GC Kinglet, 67 Robin, 7 Pipit, 457 Cedar Waxwing, 15 Palm, 38 YR Warbler, 57 Unid warbler (probably YPWA&YRWA), 9 Bobolink, 18 RW Blackbird, 7 Grackle, 5 Cowbird, 25 Pu Finch, 102 Ho Finch, 38 Am Goldfinch.
