This afternoon the 5 Surf Scoters were still there as of 1:00. Thanks
Paul! Also here was a Pied Billed Grebe , Ruddy Ducks and many
Northern Rough Winged Swallows. From Batterson i went to Farmington
meadows where i observed a male Black Throated Blue
Warbler at very close range at about four feet off the ground for a
very long time. Usually they don't corporate like this! But what was
really interesting here was a mystery bird which must have been an
escapee. Small bird a little larger than a Yellow Warbler all
yellow except for greenish wash on back with a black finch like bill.
Dark eyes and had a blue band on it's leg. Guess it's anyone's
guess what it was.
