Today at Lighthouse Point produced much less in the way of birds in general, than did yesterday. The rain was basically drizzle all morning, with periods of heavier downpours intermittantly throughout. While yesterday, the birds flew most of the day, today the flight was much more sporadic, and ended at 11:00 AM, E.D.T. Up until 9:15AM, E.S.T; when the rain began to come down heavily, there was a total of 32 Hawks tallied. The total included 13 Ospreys, 3 Northern Harriers, 1 Sharp-shinned Hawk, 2 Cooper's Hawks, 9 American Kestrels, 3 Merlins and a single Peregrine Falcon.

Very early in the passerine flight for the day , there were 24 Bobolinks, about 60 Double-Crested Cormorants, 3 Common Loons and more than 250 Tree Swallows. As noted above, the rain came and the birds quit.
