>From Bill Asteriades, Andrew Dasinger and Tom Robben:
10/9/10 - Glastonbury, Glastonbury Meadows - 72 species. Most notable are
25+ BRANT (flyover) and 1 BRANT on the CT River (unusual inland bird), 1
Juv. NORTHERN GOSHAWK, 1 BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER (unusual inland bird), 1
YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER, 1 WHITE-EYED VIREO (singing within 15 feet), 2
PHILADELPHIA WARBLER, 200+ AMERICAN PIPIT, 3 LINCOLN'S SPARROW, 1
WHITE-CROWNED SPARROW, 2 BOBOLINK and 10 PURPLE FINCH.

The flyover Brants were probably the same birds which Paul Cianfaglione
noted earlier today. We had great looks at the Goshawk, which flew directly
overhead and put a scare in a few Ring-billed Gulls!
