10/10/10 - Derby, Osbornedale State Park - the immature BLUE GROSBEAK
continues in the back of the field next to the Kellogg Center. Also, a probable
second Blue Grosbeak started calling back to the first one for about a
minute, but it never appeared. Some other interesting birds:

Canada Geese high flyover of 44

American Kestrels one over the Kellogg Center, one over the community
Yellow-rumped Warblers many
Palm Warblers a few
Indigo Bunting
White-crowned Sparrow - near the two ponds
Savannah Sparrow - near the two ponds
Song, Swamp, and White-throated Sparrows everywhere
The community gardens (part of Osbornedale) were filled with sparrows.
Unfortunately, we had no time to bird the area, but the place looks promising.
Naugatuck, Naugatuck yard - Red-breasted Nuthatch, many Y-r Warblers
Peter, Steve, Lauren, and Paul DeGennaro
