11-12 was very slow but had 1 Goshawk; dramatic increase in birds about 1230 pm on mostly buteo - and mostly visible on distant hills at 60 power. Somewhere in the 100 to 200 range. Mostly red-tail. 1 definite Red shoulder. 2 Coopers and numerous sharpies. 2 Pigeon Hawk.
The views from this location north into the central CT valley are phenomenal and to the northeast one can see Mt. Monadnock in New Hampshire!
2 Osprey at nearby Crystal Lake.
Eagle Record - Hawk Mountain crushed their eagle record on September 26 at 251; previous record for the entire season was 245. Currently at 288.
