[CT Birds] Lighthouse Point Friday

With westerlies howling and very dense cloud cover zipping by, we managed to
count 25 migrating raptors today.  Also one Loon sp. flew over, and a small
group of Canada Geese with one SNOW GOOSE among them.

Keeping us entertained for a couple of hours was an American Kestrel,
hunting insects in the grass from his perch on the #12 pole in front of the
watch.  Whatever he was eating only took one or two bites to down.  Pretty
small pickings.

Tomorrow promises a good flight.  If you come, wear your longjohns!
