ALso 4 Sharp-Shinned Hawks, 1 Cooper's Hawk, 2 Northern Harriers, 1 Merlin, 1 American Kestrel, resident Red-Tailed Hawks, Turkey Vultures. Also some late swallows sp (backlit) and tons of Palm Warblers.

The Blue Grosbeak was seen from Meadow Road at the western corner of the Farmington Meadows. There is a stand of sunflowers planted along the south side of Meadow Road; at the western end of this planting, there is an access road from Meadow Rd into the meadow. I saw the Grosbeak right there at the end of the sunflower stand, associating with sparrows (Chipping, White-Throated, White-Crowned, Song, Savannah), titmice, and BC chickadees feasting on the sunflower seeds and flying back and forth from sunflowers into the nearby trees/shrubs. Do not drive into the meadow - it is posted for no entry. Quite a raptor show at the Meadows today.
