Today was the Breast Cancer Walkathon, so there were about 5,000 visitors.  The passerine call notes (and singing Eastern Meadowlarks) were drowned out by pop song pablum, blaring from loudspeakers.  Couldn't they at least play some Grateful Dead or Phish?
Nancy Clark and I had 56 hawks on beautiful cloudy skies and moderate NE winds.
Migrants started late, appearing in very small flocks at considerable height. Partial count: Can Goose 555, ad White Form SNOW GOOSE 1, ad dark form "BLUE" GOOSE 1, Com Loon 1, Killdeer 3, Laughing Gull 1, Bl Jay 17, BC Chickadee 31, Am Pipit 29 (on lawn for considerable time), YR Warbler 41, Palm Warbler 3, E Bluebird 41, Am Robin 490, E MEADOWLARK 8, BH Cowbird 138, RW Blackbird 690, Com Grackle 197, Purple Finch 60, House Finch 395, PINE SISKIN 11, Am Goldfinch 49
