A stunning morning at Hammonasset weather-wise. The flock of Snow
Buntings continues in the Meigs Point Nature Center Parking lot with at least one
Lapland Longspur in attendance. There were four Hooded Mergansers on the
Swan Pond and an Eastern Phoebe in the vicinity of the main rotary. Also a
Red-breasted Nuthatch in the pines near the new Visitor Center. Other
birds included Northern Harrier, Sharp-shinned and Cooper's Hawks, Red-tailed
Hawk, and Black-bellied Plover.

Jim Link confirmed that he saw an "Oregon" type Dark-eyed Junco earlier in
the week where I saw it in the West Beach parking lot.
