[CT Birds] Bat Reports

I wanted to add an off-topic comment to this off-topic comment.  Dana and others at Lighthouse have been seeing a couple migratory Eastern Red Bats at Lighthouse Park for the past few days.
I seem to think those were more prevalent at Lighthouse (Oct/Nov) in years past.

Off the subject of birds a bit, but still dealing with flying objects...
In today's Hartford Courant there is a notice that DEP is looking for any
reports of winter bat activity in order to help them to track "White Nose
Syndrome."  Any sighting details of winter bat activity can be sent to
wildlife tech Christina Kocer at christina.kocer at ct.gov or by calling the
nearest wildlife division office listed at www.ct.gov/dep.
