Although we are still waiting on species lists and numbers from a few more
people, here is a summary for the Quinnipiac VAlley CBC conducted on Sunday
Dec. 19th.

We are up to 78 species for count day plus 2 more for count week!!! Highlights
include 79 RUSTY BLACKBIRDS, an EASTERN PHOEBE, and 11 WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILLS
(those reported to this list on Monday, a new species for the count circle). 4
owl species were present. ~25 AMERICAN PIPETS were found at the old meriden
landfill across from the airport and are still there this morning.

One BROAD-WINGED HAWK and one RUFFED GROUSE was observed during count week.

Just wanted to throw out a HUGE THANK YOU to all who participated and Happy
Holidays!
