[CT Birds] Parasitc Jaeger off Stamford

Patrick Dugan called to say he saw a Parasitc Jaeger today off Shippan Point in Stamford. The bird was flying west at a steady pace... 

I'm leading an early morning bird walk at the Coastal Center this Saturday from 8-9 a.m.  Anyone interested in attending should contact Louise at 203-878-7440. 

25 May 2011: There were a number of shorebirds on the bars at high tide today. 2 Red Knots, 2 SB Dowitchers, 424 Semipalmated Sandpipers, 11 American Oystercatcher (3 pairs, and 5 flying west), 2 Piping Plover, 2 Spotted Sandpipers, 5 White-rumped Sandpipers, 12 Least, 3 Ruddy Turnstones, 49 Black-bellied Plovers, 1 Semipalmated Plover, 7 Willets, 2 Gadwall, 209 Brant,  2 Common Loons, 1 Orchard Oriole, and 10 Purple Martins (over parking lot),
