Best variety I've had in a long time! 1/2 hour at Little Pond,
Litchfield (9-9:30am) - on sandbar:

1 Short-billed Dowitcher , 1 Pectoral Sandpiper, 1 Semipalmated Plover,
2 Greater Yellowlegs, 4 Semipalmated Sandpiper, 1 Solitary Sandpiper, 1
Spotted Sandpiper. Also, Northern Waterthrush at entrance from Gallows
Lane entrance, 2 Green Herons and 1 Pied-billed Grebe.

1 ad Black-crowned Night-heron at Cemetary Pond (continues and unusual
inland), and, 1 Great Egret from Point Folly @ Bantam Lake (also
unusual, but annual occurence inland).

ps. Yesterday @ Hollenbeck Preserve (across from Day Care Center) in
Canaan, had one Giant Swallowtail.
