A possible Lawrence's X Blue-winged Warbler was recently banded by CAS Pomfret Center Sanctuary Manager Andy Rzeznikiewicz. Check out a few photos and please send us any thoughts you have on it: http://ctaudubon.blogspot.com/2011/08/blue-winged-x-lawrences-warbler.html

 From Scott Kruitbosch:
08/15/11 - Stratford, Stratford Point -- 1 PECTORAL SANDPIPER, 1 PEREGRINE FALCON, 2 PURPLE MARTIN, 1 FORSTER'S TERN, 9 BOBOLINK. There are plenty of birds to look at with several hundred Common Tern flying about and peeps landing in the upland area near rain pools, but nothing too rare for us yet. We'll see if high tide yields anything. The break in the rain is probably hurting us as shorebirds were piling up slowly during it this morning.
