[CT Birds] Buff-Breasted sandpiper at Milford Point

Milford Point this afternoon with the tide falling, my son Brendan spotted a BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER on the exposed sandbars at Milford Point.  Plenty of other usual shorebirds, as well as 6 RED KNOTS.  We also had the AMERICAN AVOCET for a brief time before being chased off by a PEREGRINE FALCON.  The Avocet seemed to have survived, though we could not relocate it.
