Long weekend in Conn. for a family event.  Searched for inland shorebirds in late afternoon on Sunday.

Paid a visit to the pond behind Cabela's in East Hartford but it was dead.  An adult Peregrine Falcon zipped by, scaring the nearby flock of Starlings and Cowbirds.  A small pool of standing water on the lawn across the street had no shorebirds, just ducks and geese.

Afterward I visited part of Farmington Meadows.  Fields were muddy, lots of mosquitoes.  Some shorebirds - 6 Semipalmated Plover, 32 Killdeer, 3 Least Sandpiper.
