I'm with Steve and Paul in applauding Greg Hanisek, Linda Bowen, and the anonymous tropicbird-finder for their story about the rescued storm-blown bird, a first state record.
I would only add that it is odd that the bird was found on Sat. Morning (Aug. 27?), the day before the Tropical Storm hit CT.

Talking Nature with Greg Hanisek. The description of the recovery, rehab, and rescue of the White-tailed Tropicbird at Colebrook is the sort of anecdotal information that gives extra special spark to birding. One has to go back to Arthur Cleveland Bent's Life Histories of North American Birds to find anything resembling the tale of the CT tropicbird. And, what a tale! Linda Bowen and our anonymous man are due great praise. Greg is at the usual top of his game.
