9/14 Milford Connecticut Audubon Coastal Center  - 80, partly sunny,
mid-tide rising
10AM-1PM   American Avocet still present in marsh,  by observation platform
by parking lot.
>From Windows facing marsh:
Snowy egrets, great egrets, Yellow legs (greater?),  a flock of "peeps"
flying around marsh,
1 Spotted sandpiper was walking along the rock border of the marsh and
grabbed a cricket which it gobbled down, then washed that down with a
drink.  American Black ducks,  mute swans, 2 juvenile Yellow crowned night
herons-one stalking fiddler crabs and the other in a tree, 1 Forster's tern
fly by, 1 D.C. Cormorant-fly by, 1 osprey first sitting on osprey perch,
calling, and then flying around the marsh for part of the morning.
Catbirds, house sparrows, a mockingbird, chickadees, song sparrow, cardinal,
several monk parakeets, Canada geese and a common yellowthroat.
