9/15  Stratford
- Short Beach Park - 13 BLACK SKIMMERS, 1 AMERICAN GOLDEN PLOVER, 1 FORSTER'S 
TERN among the usual shorebirds, gulls and terns on the sandbars across the 
river at Milford Point.
- Stratford Marina (Broad St.) - 2 Western Willets, 100 Greater Yellowlegs, 10 
Lesser Yellowlegs, 30 Short-billed Dowitchers (most/all juveniles), 6 
Semipalmated Sandpipers, 21 Yellow-crowned Night-Herons.
- Stratford Greenway / "Avco" Cove (Birdseye St. behind sewage plant), 2:50pm - 
AMERICAN AVOCET resting on rip-rapped berm with flocks of gulls, cormorants, 
ducks, and geese, at high tide.  A scope is advised.
- Town Community Garden (Connors Lane), 5 pm - Lincoln's Sparrow.
