The annual Lighthouse Point Park Migration Festival will be this Sunday, September 25th from 8AM-2PM. Right now the weather is looking great.

You can see photos from past year's festivals here:

This is always a great event and features free flying falconry demonstrations from Brian Bradley's Skyhunters in Flight. Brian will have a Gyrfalcon, Steppe Eagle, Eurasian Eagle Owl and several other very cool birds. The Connecticut Audubon Society will again be providing banding demonstrations. This gives a great opportunity to see wild birds up close and personal. One year they caught a Connecticut Warbler. Who knows what this year will bring!

Other attractions include:

Bird and butterfly walks!

See and feel Long Island Sound Creatures in touch tanks!

Children's activities and fun for the whole family!

Ride the Old-Fashioned Carousel!

Tour the Historic Lighthouse!

Live Music!

Hands-on Butterfly Tagging!

Bird walks and more!

Suggested donation: $5/car. Proceeds go towards next year's event.
