Despite what I thought were less than ideal conditions, there was a good morning flight in my yard this morning.  I counted about 40 warblers in ten minutes before leaving for work, though could not ID anything of note.

I just had a call from Carl Ekroth.  He has covered a lot of ground around New Haven harbor looking for the Brown Pelican but has not found it.  He did find that there were plenty of warblers in the trees of East Shore Park, New Haven, particularly in the evergreens and bushes near the treatment plant (north end).
