[CT Birds] Stratford DICKCISSEL, Skimmers, Warblers in rain 9/23

9/23 - Despite the rainy day, there were birds around today, including a variety 
of warblers, shorebirds, etc.  Highlights:

Stratford, Main St., Deluca Ball Field & Stratford Greenway, 11:50 - 12:50   - 
DICKCISSEL (imm female) with House Sparrow flock feeding on weeds & grasses 
along dirt road behind ball field, 1 Blackpoll, 6 Com. Yellowthroat, R-e Vireo, 
8 Gray Catbird, Swamp Sparrow.

Short Beach Park - 3 juv. BLACK SKIMMERS on sandbars (low tide), usual 
shorebirds on beach and wet golf course.

Birdseye St., trees/shrubs opposite sewage plant - 4 Blackpoll, 2 N. Parula, 3 
Yellow Warbler, 2 Com. Yellowthroat, etc.  (American Avocet not seen at nearby 
"Avco" Cove).

Stratford Point - 6 Cedar Waxwings, 5 Blackpoll, 1 Nashville, 2 R-E Vireo.
