[CT Birds] regional rarities during past week

Hi all,
A quick check of recent postings to regional state bird lists, ebird, and 
surfbirds resulted in this list of rare birds in the northeast during the past 
week.  Food for thought.

Maine:  Smith's Longspur (Norridgewock 9/21-24) - 2nd state record
Sabine's Gull (Head Harbor Passage, downeast 9/21)

Nova Scotia:White-winged Dove (Cape Breton 9/21)
Painted Bunting (Cape Breton, 9/21)

New Hampshire:  Curlew Sandpiper (Hampton, 9/17-23)

Mass.: Brown Booby (continuing bird Cape Cod / Provincetown, through 9/23) 
Northern Wheatear (Nantucket, 9/19)

NY:  Brown Pelican(s)  (Montauk, North Fork) - continuing bird(s)
Northern Wheatear (Montauk, 9/17-21), and an earlier one at Croton.

NJ:Brown Booby (Cape May Co., continuing bird)
Wilson's Plover (Stone Harbor, 9/24)
Violet-green Swallow (Cape May 9/19)
Say's Phoebe (Whippany 9/19)

Maryland:  Townsend's Warbler (Assateague, 9/18-19).
