Following up on the excellent 9/25 trip summarized below, this afternoon
9/27 I went into Glastonbury Meadows briefly (3-4pm) and found one Mourning
Warbler and one Dickcissel (probably the same one as reported 9/25). They
were both in the scrubby field filled with high weeds, along with Savannah
Sparrows, Song Sparrows, Swamp Sparrows. Plus several common warblers in the
nearby trees along the CT river. But no Blue Grosbeak.
