9/30 Farmington, Batterson Pond - a quick stop at Batterson Pond this morning produced 1 TENNESSEE WARBLER among 30+ Yellow-rumps, 6 NORTHERN ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOW, 1 OSPREY, 1 PIED-BILLED GREBE and 6 EASTERN TOWHEE.
What really struck me this visit was the extremely low water levels in the pond. I have never seen them this low. There is a rocky island in the middle of the pond and there is a ton of muddy habitat along the edge.
