[CT Birds] CACC & Anchor Beach, Milford

10/5  Connecticut Audubon Coastal Center, Milford
10AM-1PM  sunny, breezy, 65-70, mid tide-receding
Seen from windows facing marsh were 6 Great egrets, 3 Snowy egrets, 6 D.C.
Cormorants, 13 Black ducks, 3 mallards, 1 Northern harrier-fly by,  1 J.
yellow crowned night heron,  1 Greater yellowlegs, 1 osprey soaring high
over marsh, Herring & Ring billed gulls,
2 Laughing gulls , at least 20 monarchs mostly flying west.
Birds on grounds include catbird, robins, blue jays,  mourning doves,
cardinal, RB Woodpecker.
On an afternoon walk (3-4PM) by Anchor Beach in Milford, along Beach Ave.
were numerous Ring billed gulls, herring gulls, Greater black backed gulls,
15 DC Cormorants, 3 Am. Oystercatchers (on rock outcrops), 1 Osprey crashing
into water, but didn't get a fish-after it circled around beach and flew
