[CT Birds] Golden Plover et al, at Hammo

Not sure what you mean here but if these were the birds with the copious
amounts of admixed white and the little blue like bill shapes, I think
calling them pure Tricolored is premature.

Subject: [CT Birds] Golden Plover et al, at Hammo

10/06/11: Madison, Hammonasset Beach State Park, 5:30 to 6:00 pm-2 GOLDEN
PLOVER in the grassy lot south of the road towards west beach, plus 3 more
GOLDEN PLOVER  with about 12 Black-bellied Plover, 10 Dunlin, and 1
WHITE-RUMPED SANDPIPER in the Nature Center grassy lot.  These birds were
buzzed repeatedly by two Merlin simultaneously (they came away empty, at
least while I was watching).  Also, 2 juvenile TRICOLORED HERON (vs.
Tricolored/Little Blue hybrids as previously suggested) in the small pond by
the Meig's Point parking lot.
