[CT Birds] Stamford Clay-colored Sparrow, and others

10/9 & 10/10 at (mainly) Cove Island Wildlife Sanctuary, with Tom Fiore:

There were a good number of sparrows observed, including Clay-colored (1), Field (2), Savannah, Song, Lincoln's (1), Swamp, White-crowned (2, incl adult), White-throated; Monday morning, in particular, was pretty active. Other birds, as also expected: very close Red-tailed Hawk devouring a squirrel for breakfast, Cooper's Hawk, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, a couple Phoebes, Hermit Thrush (Rosa Hartman), Blue-headed Vireo (10), Northern Parula (Rosa Hartman), Black-throated Green Warbler (1), Black-throated Blue Warbler (1), Palms (many), Blackpoll Warbler (1 at Rosa Hartman), Common Yellowthroat, Red-winged Blackbirds.
