10/26 Connecticut Audubon Coastal Center, Milford
10AM-1PM. Cloudy, 55-60, high tide
On the marsh were 22 Black ducks & 2 mallards, About 20 Canada geese
flyover, 2 D.C. Cormorants,
1 Northern Harrier, 5 Mute swans, 2 Cooper's hawks flew over, one of them
chasing a small bird.
On grounds-house aprrows, a song sparrow, 2 White throated sparrows, a
lone monarch butterfly, Yellow rumped warblers everywhere, about 200 mixed
flock of Starlings & Common grackles, 1 Male eastern Towhee, 2 Cardinals, 2
mockingbirds, flock of 22 house finches on a treetop, 1 tufted titmouse, 1
Golden Crowned kinglet flitting through the conifers-nice views above the
bird from the windows.
Brant on the Long Island side I was told.
