Greetings all...

Off Stamford Ave. in Shippan early this morning there were 6 Northern Gannet; also 4 Snow Buntings which were sitting on a boulder close to the seawall and 1 Peregrine Falcon flying west close to shore.

At Cove Island Wildlife Sanctuary there were continuous flocks of migrating Red-winged Blackbirds with birds numbering in the thousands. Many landed to feed among sparrows that were seemingly everywhere having been displaced from cover by the snow, including Swamp (many), Lincoln's (1), White-crowned (1), White-throated, Savannah, Song. There was one Bobolink observed and also one Wilson's Snipe that flushed from the pond.
