[CT Birds] Hammo Sandpipers

Hammonasset, November 14:  After blowing up and carefully examining this afternoon's photos, the two long-winged small sandpipers earlier called Baird's appear to be White-rumped after all. They do not show obvious orange on the proximal lower mandible, but the white supercilium is actually quite prominent and the plumage lacks the scaliness of Baird's.

There was a large flock of 34 Snow Buntings in the nature center field.
