Hi all,

Dave Winston called to report that a White-winged dove was in his crab apple tree at 1128 Cove Road in Stamford this morning at 10:20 a.m. Photos were taken, but I haven't seen them yet. A hawk scared the birds off; some went south towards Cove Island park and a few flew east. Patrick Dugan is searching Cove Island Park now.. Keep your eyes open!

FYI: The Coastal Center at Milford Point has stocked its shelves with bird and nature-related gifts items for the holidays. There are beautiful cards, ornaments, hand-made jewelry and crafts, and many stocking stuffers. Gift certificates for store purchases or programs are also available. Give the gift of a wonderful nature-based summer camp week! Come on down. Members receive a 10% discount.

We're also offering a day where parents can drop off their kids for camp activities, while they go shopping. See our webpage in early December for details at www.ctaudubon.org.
