12/17 - A good day in the New Milford part of the Woodbury-Roxbury CBC circle: adult male BARROW'S GOLDENEYE on Housatonic River north of New Milford center with a flock of c. 6 Common Goldenyes; a CLAY-COLORED SPARROW in field on Rt 7 south of New Milford H.S (a spot where I've had one on a previous CBC); and most remarkable, a WOOD THRUSH along the Still R. in Harrybrooke Park.
This marks the second December in a row that a Wood Thrush was found in CT in December, following one photographed on a snowy background last Dec. 15 in Canton. Today's was very cooperative, allowing extended unobstructed views from about 20 feet.
