The Sherwood Mill Pond Preserve is located in Westport on Hillspoint Road. There is a small park with parking and a few benches. One can also view the Mill Pond from a
wooden bridge which is located off of Old Mill Road. Park in the lot for Compo Mill Beach and look for a walkway at the north end of the lot which leads to the public access bridge. This is a great spot to view waterfowl at close range and to hear them as well. This is one of my favorite early morning stops.
