For those ticking the Yellow-throated Warbler in Madison...
It appears that a few birders have been less than respectful when checking out the bird, so a few common sense ground rules are called for.
1. Please park at least 40 feet from the feeder which is directly in front of a window on east side (near side) as you drive up.
2. Stand near your car and wait for the bird to show up - it has been very regular arriving with chickadees and titmice every 15 minutes to a half hour. There are three renters in the house, none of which enjoy people walking/standing right at their windows!
3. Do not wander the property.
Ms. Dunne has obviously been very gracious to welcome us to enjoy this rarity. She will continue to do so if we are considerate and use common sense.
