[CT Birds] Stratford Razorbills, Gannets, Little Blue Heron, Orange-crowned Warbler

01/12/12  Stratford, Stratford Point- Highlights of a seawatch 12 noon-1:15 
included:  3 NORTHERN GANNETS, 3 RAZORBILLS, 1000 GREATER SCAUP, usual sea ducks 
and loons, and 90 Snow Buntings on grounds. Rain stopped, winds NE at 25 mph, 
good visibility.

Short Beach Park( Short Beach Rd.) - Imm. LITTLE BLUE HERON and 1 GREAT EGRET in 
small golf course pond visible from road.

McKinney Refuge (Long Beach Blvd) - 15 Black-crowned Night Herons, at least 1 
ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER continues along RR trail.

Raven Pond Park (East Main St. & Brookside Dr.) - female Northern Pintail, male 
MallardXNorthern Pintail hybrid, adult Red-shouldered Hawk.

Nor'easter storm today caused coastal flooding.  Lordship roads and seawall were 
flooded.  Birdseye boat ramp lot was totally flooded at high tide.
