1/28/12, Stratford, Short Beach, 3:30 p.m. With Tom Murray - A flock of about 40 Snow Buntings left the new house across the tidal inlet when a female Northern Harrier flew by. The Snow Buntings flew west toward the airport. Shortly after a male Northern Harrier headed toward the landfill. Near the corner of the tennis courts, 5 White-Crowned Sparrows fed in the open with several White-Throated Sparrows.
The Mandarin Duck continues at Raven Pond and so does the Wilson's Snipe at the Birdseye Street boat ramp north parking lot.
