To CT and Other Birders: The Avian Records Committee is now preparing for its next meeting in mid March. If you have thought about preparing reports for "hurricane birds" seen following Irene, or any other significant sighting, this would be the time to send us your reports. A listing of species for which reports are accepted can be found on the COA web site. Reports should be e-mailed to Jay Kaplan (ARCC Chair at jaybrd49 at aol.com) and Greg Hanisek (ARCC Secretary ghanisek at rep-am.com) Reports should be sent by mid-February if at all possible in order to allow the ARCC Secretary time to prepare and send reports to the Committee members for their review.

Birds for which we currently have no documentation include the White Ibis reported from Barn Island, 27 Aug- 6 Sep 2011 and the Barnacle Goose that was in the Hartford area during January 2012. Any assistance with these birds would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Jay Kaplan, ARCC Chair
Greg Hanisek, ARCC Secretary
