A first year Golden eagle was seen by both tour boats today on the CT River between Joshua Rock and Hamburg Cove in Lyme.
The CT River Museum tour boat crowd watched this Golden Eagle repeatedly interact with a sub-adult Blad Eagle performing multiple talon touches, talon locks and display tumbles. This is only the third time in 15 years of doing Eagle Boat watches that I've witnessesed this kind of display/inter-action between a Bald Eagle and a Golden Eagle and each time it has occurred it has been between sub-adult birds.
