Subject: FREE NATURE PROGRAM - OWL PROWL - THURSDAY, MARCH 8th, 7:00pm


Join wildlife biologist Kris Vagos and Park Ranger Shaun Roche on Thursday, March 8th at 7:00pm as they lead a guided walk in search of owls through the Salt Meadow Unit of the Stewart B. McKinney National Wildlife Refuge in Westbrook. Learn about these majestic creatures, their behavior and food sources, then see if you can spot owls along with the group while walking through their forest habitat. The walk will being at the historic stone lodge at Salt Meadow, 733 Old Clinton Road, Westbrook. The entire program will last about one hour and it is advisable for visitors to bring warm clothes, flashlights, water and good footwear. Space is very limited, so anyone interested should register by sending an email to shaun_roche at fws.gov or by calling Ranger Shaun at 860-399-2513.
