From Steve Broker (Cheshire):
03/21/12 - Woodbridge, Konold's Pond from West Rock ridge top (12:30 PM-1:05 P.M.) -- following up on Janet Mehmel's morning post, no Trumpeter Swans observed at Konold's Pond this afternoon. Michaela Hauser Wagner and I saw the Trumpeters at Konold's on Thursday, March 15. That marked the 40th day of their occupancy of Konold's Pond since they were first reported by Paul Wolter and John Marshall on February 5. Any sightings of the Trumpeters from this past weekend would be appreciated.

Also observed today: three occupied Great Blue Heron nests on the Konold's Pond island (the small rookery continues) and 6 adult Great Blue Herons total; 1 Double-crested Cormorant also perched on an island tree; 1 Great Egret; West Rock Common Raven pair continues incubating 6 eggs (laid on successive days from Saturday, March 3 through Thursday, March 8).
