4/28/12 Greenwich Audubon Center - Brown Thrasher Louisiana Waterthrush Wood Thrush.
The 7 am Saturday morning walk with Ted Gilman and 10 participants yielded a few surprises. Newly arrived was a singing Brown Thrasher at the start of the walk. Along Riverbottom Road a singing Louisiana Waterthrush finally revealed itself while a short distance away, a wary Wood Thrush surveyed the group from it's exposed perch. After the walk, a Lawrence's backcross Warbler was seen and heard at the north end of the upper field. This bird is in the Crossley ID Guide on page 402 in the upper right hand corner.
The weekly Saturday morning walk at 7 am is free and open to the public.
