[CT Birds] Branford Supply Ponds Migrants

5/4/12 Branford, Supply Ponds. In five hours covering just the area from the power cut south this morning- 13 warblers, 3 vireos, two flycatchers, and one each of tanager, oriole and thrush migrant species. Warblers-Blackburnian, Chestnut-sided, BT Green, Blue-winged, Prairie, Yellow, Redstart, Black and White, Pine, Ovenbird, Worm-eating, Louisiana Waterthrush and Yellow-rumped. Vireos- Red-eyed, Blue-headed and Warbling. Flycatchers- Great-crested and Least. Scarlet Tanager, Baltimore Orioles and Wood Thrush. Also 1 male Pileated Woodpecker seen drumming, 1 Solitary Sandpiper, 5 Wood ducks, 1 Great Egret and the best view of the day, a Lincoln's Sparrow in the power cut. Total 52 species.
