Hi all,
For those CT birders who haven't gone away for the Holiday weekend, here are a
few extralimital reports.

Sandy Hook, NJ - Ten Mississippi Kites being seen this morning, 5/28.
Sterling Forest (Orange Co.), NY - 1 Miss. Kite yesterday.
This species is one that overshoots it's normal SE U.S. range this time of year.
And today the winds are light out of the south (first time in a week or more).
If you're out, keep your eyes to the skies. [CT has already had reports this
spring from Norwich, Granby, Branford, and Simsbury].

Yesterday (5/27) single Wilson's Phalaropes were reported from Long Island, NY
and Brigantine, NJ.
Arctic Terns have been seen at Long Island, NY and Sandy Hook, NJ in recent
days. Check coastal areas where terns and/or gulls gather.

Thanks to the men and women who serve and have served our country.

Good Birding,
Frank Mantlik
Stratford
