Last year a new internet page for bird identification became available for free! It is http://www.natureinstruct.org/ . In the middle of the home page, click on "Dendroica" and when the new page comes up, under Guest Version, click on "U.S.A." . When that new page comes up, you will see a bird in adult male breeding plumage (usually) and will hear it's primary song. Under the photo is a brief information box and under that are two headings - Photos and Sounds. Each category has multiple offerings. On the right of the page is a scrollable list of birds in Phylogenic order or the same order as your Sibley's or Peterson's guide book. Double-click on a bird of your choice to see the photos and hear it's vocalizations. There are range maps too.
This page is invaluable for pre-trip study and post-trip analysis. Please give it a look.
