[CT Birds] Canoe trip on Hanover Pond

If you have ever wanted to explore Hanover Pond then consider:

Hanover Pond by Canoe -  Sunday,  June 10th  at  9 am

Join the Quinnipiac Valley Audubon Society and the Quinnipiac River Watershed Association on an adventure on Hanover Pond.  Audubon Connecticut IBA Coordinator Corrie Folsom-O'Keefe and Dan Pelletier QRWA Committee Chairman along with his Paddle Committee will explore by canoe the pond, the Quinnipiac River, and Harbor Brook keeping an eye out for herons, kingfishers, and red-winged blackbirds, painted turtles and giant carp!  Meet at the QRWA headquarters at 540 Oregon Road in Meriden. Wear a brim hat, sun screen and pair of old sneakers or shoes that they don't mind getting a little wet. Children 5 and up are welcome. QRWA has enough canoes for ~25 people; be sure to call Corrie at 203-630-9640 to sign up.
