[CT Birds] NW birding 6/19

Some highlights from a day's birding in NW CT with Carolyn Sedgwick.
Morning was cloudy and quite cool with intermittent sun starting
around noon.

White Memorial Foundation's Little Pond:
3 Virginia Rail
1 Willow Flycatcher
1 Bank Swallow
1 Blackburnian Warbler
no sign of the previously reported Least Bitterns

Mohawk State Forest:
2 Yellow-billed Cuckoos
1 Black-billed Cuckoo
2 Hermit Thrush
2 Blackburnian Warbler
3 Purple Finch (adult feeding two begging juvs)

West Cornwall Rd:
two Hooded Merg families

White Hollow Road:
1 Hermit Thrush singing from hillside to the west
1 Worm-eating Warbler
